Will it not be a pleasant surprise to the International Passengers if the coolies converse with them in International Language : English ? Yes ! To make this happen, Suryadatta Group of Institutes started a Unique CSR initiative of teaching spoken English to the coolies at Railway station. The special syllabus for teaching spoken English at Introductory level, was prepared by the faculty of Suryadatta.
The program was attended by 50 porters and was conducted free of cost. This noble idea is fully supported by the staff of Indian Railways. Today, the Coolies greet foreign tourists with –“Good Morning. May I help you?” As per Suryadatta's philosophy -“ Education for all”, free education is provided to coolies during the year
Suryadatta Group of Institutes along with Anand Rishi Hospital & Heart Sugery Centre Ahmednagar, Lions Club of Ahmednagar organized a cardiac camp in January, 2011 at the Bavdhan Campus.
Various tests at discounted rates were conducted. Manywell-known cardiac surgeons were present during the camp. For people below poverty line were offered extra discount & school children were checked free of cost in this camp. Extra discount rates were offered to persons below poverty level.
Suryadatta's classes for Auto rickshaw drivers gained an overwhelming response!
The foriegn tourists in Pune use auto rickshaws as one of their convenient source of transport, but the language barrier between the tourists and the rickshaw drivers is causing communication gap as most of the rickshaw drivers do not understand English. Suryadatta Group of Institutes announced free classes of English speaking and Computer learning programs for the auto rickshaw drivers. With the help of this course these rickshaw drivers were able to communicate with their customers in a better way. This program gained a great response from the rickshaw drivers in the city with more than 300 registrations. Thus, a lucky draw had been organized for the same and a total of 80 rickshaw drivers were selected for this course.
Prior to successful completion of the first batch we had received large nominations from auto rickshaw drivers for this programme. We immediately launched a another batch of 80 rickshaw drivers for English speaking and computer learning programme. All of them enthusiastically completed the programme successfully and asked for extra classes, practical session, doubt clearing session as and when required. This kind of an activity boosts up the confidence of the participants tremendously
11th November is celebrated in India as a 'National Education Day' in the memory of Independent India's First Cabinet Minister: Education, Maulana Aazad. In Suryadatta Group of Institute's Bavdhan Campus, this 'National Education Day' was celebrated in unique style. After paying the floral homage to Maulana Aazad's Portrait, the students of Suryadatta Group of Institutes took an oath for dedicating themselves for quality education through academics, co-curricular & extra curricular activities. The staff of Suryadatta recommitted themselves for leaving no stone unturned for the holistic growth of the students. Large number & Suryadatta's International students also attended this function.

Voluntary Training Program on Tailoring and Fashion Designing for rural women Suryadatta Group of Institutes is always at the forefront of proving their responsibility towards society. With an idea of making the below poverty line women 'self independent' by providing them the knowledge about the different opportunities available in the market for earning money, Suryadatta launched a training program, especially for women's community.
This project was organised in Dhankawadi area where 300 women enrolled themselves for the courses. The courses for Costume Designing, Fashion Styling, Visual Merchandising, Boutique Management, Basic and advance embroidery, etc. were conducted. The course duration was for 2 hours for 2 days in a week.
Looking at the overwhelming response and huge success in Dhankawadi area, Suryadatta Group has organized this activity in Bavdhan area as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility.
As a culmination of this course, the women had held an exhibition of clothes tailored by them at Suryadatta Bavdhan Campus. This exhibition was blessed by the presence of Khasdar Supriyatai Sule. On this occasion she explained the benefits and importance of packaging & finishing.
